This mission dates back to November1, 1968 and it was named after the late Rt. Rev. Dr. A. Hartmann. It is about 8 km from Allahabad city. Late Rt. Rev. Dr. Raymond D’Mello the then Bishop of Allahabad, requested Rev. Fr. Philip Neri Noronha, to open a station which he did.
This newly opened mission station was supported by a dispensary in the same premises. This mission station was dedicate to and named after Bishop Hartmann in remembrance of Bishop Hartmann who almost a century ago had sown the seeds of the faith in Jesus by opening a mission somewhere around Phaphamau.

Edward Goveas the parish Priest along with the sisters of Nazareth (CSN) tirelessly, meticulously worked out for the celebration of the Golden Jubilee of this mission station and they made the occasion a memorable event to invoke Divine blessings on all belonged to and attended this celebration. May the Venerable Bishop Hartmann pray for and protect this mission station.
