Dear Parents guardians and well wishers,
Warm greetings to you all !
At the very outset, I Sincerely extend my heartfelt thanks to the outgoing Principal Rev Fr. Edward Goveas for his effortless services
in taking the school to such heights, with good infrastructure and facilities. May the Almighty God, the source of Wisdom Knowledge
and understanding, bless his future endeavours with good health and happiness. May God be praised.
It is indeed a great pride and privilege, to head Bishop Hartmann Academy Hartmannganj, Phaphamau, of which Bishop Hartmann is
the patron, a great torch bearer of Jesus Christ, the true “Light of the World”. This school has been the “Beacon of Light” to
the people of the area and to neighbourhood. Jesus Christ the Saviour of the world came to enlighten the minds and guide the
lives of humanity to live as God’s Children / People.
The ‘Motto’ of the School “Relevo Pro vita’’ meaning “Lighted for life’’ says it all.
True education is an awakening of love of truth, a giving of a just sense of duty, an opening of the eyes of the souls to great
purpose of life....... Character is the ocean of true education and science, history, literature are but means used to accomplish
this desired end. Character is not the result of chance but a continuous right thinking and right acting. The curriculum and
co-curricular activities lead towards this goal and make the person fully developed physically & spiritually, emotionally &
psychologically balanced to a finest personality, ready to serve the society and country at large with ‘enlightened mind to
enlighten’. Like the ‘lighted’ candle spreads the rays of light and dispels darkness of every kind; i.e evil designs, ignorance
- So is each child who enters the portals of Bishop Hartmann Academy, tries to eradicate evil around of every kind. The Child
learns to create newness in life and nurtures respect for humanity; love for God and love for neighbour (human kind).
A warm welcome to all, to this premier institution of the city. With the selfless services of the Rev, Sisters (CSN), disciplined
and qualified teaching staff; effortless services of office staff and hard work and generosity of supportive staff, let us make
the learning joyful and get enlightened for a bright future of oneself, the other and Society.
May our Patron, Bishop Hartmann, the servant of God, intercede for us and take care.
With Prayerful wishes,
Fr. William Stanley Mathias
Principal
